September 17


This is a plant we have in our yard that looks really pretty in the Fall. It's called Autumn Joy Sedum. Most of the year the flowers are a pale white, but in the fall they start turning a rosy color and become almost burgundy before they die back. As you can see from the picture, the bees are enjoying them now too!

Mmm. Just beautiful! It always amazes me how plants even in their final days of season can take on a new beauty than what they had in their prime.

I love your fall sedum. We have a sedum and the bees from all over the county come to it so I cut it down about mid summer. Bees scare me.
