May 20

While driving the back roads, I found this log cabin. I think it looks like an old one, and I think it fits right into the woods.

Isn't this cool? Looks like this tree fell, and then this little stream made it's way under the roots. I thought it was a pretty little scene!

I like the simple lines of this barn, along with the faded red paint and the foundation.

The dogwoods are flowering! They tend to grow along the edge of wooded areas. Their airy white flowers are such a pretty sight along the country roads.

Spring is here, unfurling the leaves and putting a smile on my face!

It's time for Barn Charm! This was just a little barn - or maybe a shed. I like the way the red door and the green grass show up against the worn, gray side of the barn.

It's Tulip Time here in West Michigan. These are just a few of the Tulips that are planted all over the city of Holland, that are enjoyed by the people who come from all over for the Festival.

Spring is bursting out all over!
We've had another beautiful day today, the sun has been shining and things are growing! The dogwood tree (On the right side of photo) is blooming, and the leaves are coming out on the trees and bushes. It's such a happy sight!

These geese are pretty, but that's not why I took the picture.
I took it because of where this is. It kind of looks like a park, but it's not. Do you see the traffic light at the right of this shot? Yes - this is right near a road, a divided highway actually.
This is the median of that highway!
I was turning, and was so surprised to see these geese that I snapped this picture out of my side window. (There were no other cars near me)
I hope they made it back across the highway again!

As you know I love barns, especially the old, weathered ones. This is kind of a sad picture because all that remains of this old barn is a silo and a portion of the top of it. I don't see many new barns being built in the same way - most of the new ones are just pole barns. I hate to think of the old barns I love to look at becoming like the one in this picture.
I've linked this post up with Tricia at Bluff Area Daily for her weekly Barn Charm post. Check it out if you love barns too.
