This is another barn I found when we were in Kentucky. I always like barns that show a little wear and tear, and this one has that. I love the shape of this barn and the worn paint.

I like the weathered look, too, especially when it's red. I can imagine children playing in that big loft!
Beautiful red barn. It is a great shape and it's wear is wonderful.
Oh, I love that barn....love the shape of it, love that big old steep roof, and love the weathered look of it.
I love the shape too and it's unusual to find one that the roof and sides are the same color....Great shot...
WoW, that's one big, old, beautiful barn!!
She's a beauty with that old red paint. And look at the size of that roof! That is one big barn!
wow. would have expected that to be more midwestern. lots of red all over!
That's a beauty of a barn! Looks like the used the same red paint on the sides and roof.
I love the wear too. It's unusual for the roof to be the same color. Nice shot.
It has been a while since it has seen a coat of paint. So many barns are in a state of disrepair that I wonder if farmers no longer find them useful.
Love the patina of the paint and its setting beside the railroad track!
Nice capture!
Love faded red and weathered.
This is a beautiful red barn. We don't see many with red roofs too. Beautiful shot!
It's great that barn is in Kentucky! I love the shape, too, and it's even red! Nice find, Mari!
Nice weathered look...but I never do picture kids playing in the barns. I have a very intense fear of snakes, and it just looks like the kind of place for them to hang out...good thing my boys didn't pay much attention to my fears - they would not have had nearly as much fun! Great find!
What an unusual shape and roof.
yes, i'm with you, i prefer these to brand new perfect barns!
Love the shape of this one and the weathered look.
Love the color and shape of this old barn!
I was thinking that very thing... love the shape & the worn paint! I'm also lovin all the doors
Thanks so much for joining, Mari! =)
I agree with you...the shape of this old barn is really neat. Love the rough look to it...aging paint is so appealing to my eye. The sky is such a wonderful compliment to the landscape. It set everything off beautifully. Thanks for you continuing support of my little blog and all of your kind words. genie
Oh, I just love pictures of barns. Love that first one. It has so much character. Barns and Bridges, two of my favorite things to take pictures of!
I agree it looks like it is still usable. The surrounding is neat too.
Barn Charm
LoveloveLoVE this charmer! I really like the roof line and the faded red it wears. It is super-sized too.
Great capture of a big, beautiful red barn! It's probably not good for the barns, but I'm drawn to the ones that show a little wear and tear too.
I love the shape of it and ...wow...it looks huge!
Another great find of yours! The red color is wonderful, even if it's peeling away!
love the coloring there. such a different color red. i will be linking up next week. missed out due to being in disney world. take care. (:
Beautiful! Lovely blog; I'm now following! (If you get time, check out my post "The First of March" ~ my Dad had a unique-looking barn...
