This old barn is near the exit on a highway near me. I love it's shape and the faded wood. I don't love the sign on it, because I'm sure that if the land sells, the barn will be torn down. I imagine the land is quite valuable, considering it's location near the highway. It's not in good condition, but it's good enough to store an RV.
Here is the house, right near to the barn. I think it's also quite charming!

It is pretty...and has a really neat shape!
Even old barns eventually have to go! To make way for new ones, hopefully!
It still has charm for sure! The side part almost looks like living quarters and the barn as a whole looks in better shape than the house. I fear you're right about its future--it will be a shame if it's torn down esp. for commercial use. Sigh.
ooohhhh it's a great barn. shame on them for hanging that aweful sign on it!!
i see a nice barn door that could be repurposed and perhaps would not be missed ;)))
Would love to buy a BARN!!
I think it was once a great barn! It still looks to be in better shape than a lot of old barns. Hope it doesn't get torn down!
I hate to see the old barns go, but after reading what it takes to renovate one last week, I can understand why more people don't do it! It is just a shame when they get that far gone! Nice photo - I am glad we are preserving these old relics in print, anyway!
yup, i bet its days are numbered.
hurry, go rip that sign off! sad to see something like this get torn down for another strip mall...
I agree...I love the old barn, but not the sign. Wouldn't it be neat to own 60 acres? I would love that! Although...maybe not near a busy highway. :)
The house is almost hidden in among the trees. The weathered wood on both buildings is eye-catching.
I hope if it is sold that they'll renovate both the barn & the house... I sure would love to explore inside both & I'd also LOVE to get my hands on that old barn door!
Thanks a bunch for joining, Mari! =)
I love the old barn too, but not the sign. Great weathered wood on both the house and barn. I hope it doesn't get torn down.
Great old barn and house. Wish I had them here at our farm. . .
You have a beautiful home for your blog!
Too bad- it surely will be torn down to make way for something. Pretty old barn.
Yes, that sign tells a sad story, doesn't it? Did the owners get too old to keep up with the farm? Were there no younger family members who felt they could make a living on the farm? A modern day dilemma.
great shots. i wonder what will happen. you will have to keep us posted. i'm curious. (:
So sad, our past being torn down. I hope the new owners won't but I bet they do. But, because of you so many of us got to enjoy it.
It looks great amidst all the greenery. I wonder how long it will take to see the land...too bad. Thanks for checking my barn out. Enjoy the weekend.
