January 14


This is our hydrangea tree. These flowers start out white in the summer, then change from white to pink to a dark rose color in the fall. Many of these flower heads fall off, but some hold on. I always find it fascinating to see them hanging onto a bare branch, covered in snow in the middle of winter.

Wow, I just posted a dead foliage too! I am always amazed how the dead hydrangeas can hold on to the branches through fairly hefty winds.

I have some dried in my kitchen. They are beautiful in the summer.

I bet they are beautiful in the summer!!!! I can barely keep anything alive. Maybe later in life. :)
