What a long day we have had today. We have just checked into a hotel and it is 10:30 pm. We made it to Kansas City, almost into Missouri.
This is a picture of Bob and Andy at the cabin, shortly before we left. We had to talk and enjoy that view one more time! Then came the teary good bye's. I hate saying good bye. Andy told me it was just "see you later". That does sound better!
We are taking a different way home. We drove through Colorado and Kansas. A lot of Kansas was empty and flat! We drove for miles without seeing any other people or towns. We did see some pretty sights, but it's hard to take a picture out of the car window. This is the best I got!
After another day of driving, we should make it home again tomorrow.

WOW - lots of miles of your car and beautiful pictures.
Mari, your tender heart is coming through on this one. I pray for the Lord's safe carriage of you to your home, and that He will be all you need as you return. Blessings-Kathy
what a long journey! Great nature picture as always it´s a great job through the car window.
Love the first one too, with Andy and Bob - and your lovely words. Saying good bye is sometimes really hard - but Andy´s idea to say "see you later" is fantastic!!
Many hugs for you and come back home save You are in my thoughts and prayers
It must have been realllly hard to say good bye :-(
Safe travels home.

"The longest mile is the last mile home." The trip going is always more enjoyable than the return trip. But, being home is wonderful.

My husband grew up in KS, so we a very familiar with that view!!!
What a beautiful view! I know that Andy probably had tears too. He just wouldn't let you see them. You are such a close family.
It is so hard to leave the ones we love.
Moms!! We show our love through tears. That's how God made us.

Goodbyes are the hardest thing to do. And leaving a loved one without knowing when or where you will meet again is especially difficult.
Nice photos. Hope you made it safely home.
This has a special atmosphere!
