It's been a dreary day today. It's been raining and the temps have been in the mid 30's. The snow is melting, for now. However, we're supposed to get some really cold weather this week and some snow with it.
This little frog figurine sits out in one of our flowerbeds and has been covered in snow. Now he looks like he's peeking through the snow, trying to decide if he's ready to come out!

If I was that frog I would stay hidden - sounds like some cold weather coming!
It looks more like ice crystals than it does snow! Brrrrr! We are cold here too. Yesterday some national weatherman said the people in Phoenix, with only a high of 56 degrees, are digging out their winter coats. What he doesn't know is very few people in Phoenix don't even have winter coats. I don't!

He has his eye open, hoping to see signs of spring.
so funny! I was looking at the picture before I read your text and was seriously trying to figure out what it was. It looks like a real frog head at first!!!!
Wow! From my view it looks like some prehistoric monster partially buried in ice! What a find!
at first i thought that frog was real!!! haha. i love the ice in the photo.
The whole time I'm reading I felt like someone was watching me :)
I thought it´s a part of a crocodile!
Great shot!
Found your blog through "The Fifty Factor." I love the photo of the frog in snow. I am in Michigan, too, and recently had some fun taking photos of my beloved garden in snow. Learning to see the beauty, even in winter, has made me appreciate the snow more than I used to ;-)
That almost looks VERY real!

If this frog sees his shadow does that mean there will be six more weeks of winter?
I thought it was a crocodile :) Great photo!!
A frog?!?!?! It looks like something from Jurassic Park peeking through :-)
xo
He looks grumpy - I bet he's ready for the snow and cold to go away! I don't think that will be happening anytime too soon. Sigh.
What an interesting photo. I wasn't sure if this was a figure or real.
I thought it was a crocodile. Interesting picture. It looks real.
That guy looks a little bit scary peeking out of the snow like that. Kind of hobbit looking.
Well spotted!
I looked at the picture and thought, "OH, NO WAY! NO WAY!" Excellent shot!
