You may remember a few months ago, when this photo was in a contest through our local Christian radio station. It made it through the preliminary stages and the final voting is taking place right now.

March 28

It was windy and the sky was dark when we got to church this morning. I thought the cross looked pretty against the dark sky, so I stopped to take a picture in the parking lot.
As I did, this robin flew up and sat on the roof. I was reminded of this verse:

"If the Creator of the universe cares enough about the humble birds to care for them, why would He care any less about us? God provides for the birds' needs; as He loves us even more, we can count on Him to provide for us as well." Matthew 6:26

I was driving home from a meeting tonight and the sun was setting so beautifully. I pulled off to the side of the road, to get a few pictures. The sky looks like it's on fire!

What a difference a day (or two) makes!
Two days ago everything was covered in snow. Today, after a day of sunshine yesterday, the snow is gone and I found our crocus blooming. I guess Spring really is here!

Welcome Spring!
After a week of beautiful, sunny weather and temps in the 50's, this is what I woke up to this morning. Yes - Spring has arrived in Michigan!

March 18

It's been just beautiful here, with sunny skies and temps in the 50's. The snow is almost all gone, which I'm loving, but it causes trouble for those who live near the river.
This is taken near the Grand River where it is flooded. The front and center area of this picture is usually a driveway. As you can see, the poor people who live in this house are now having to use a boat to get back and forth from home!
PS - there is snow in the forecast for the weekend, so our thaw may be coming to an end. :(

March 17

Our crazy cat had a strange fascination with sinks and water. Whenever he hears us running water, he comes running. He loves to sit in the sink, especially when it's wet!
This is our half bath, and we frequently find him sitting in this sink.

March 14

The snow is nearly gone here, just a few small piles left here and there.
I actually took this picture last week, when there was a little more snow around. This barn is near my house and I showed you another view of it earlier in the year, but I thought you would enjoy seeing it again, with a little less snow!

March 12

We had a big rainstorm last night. This morning it was foggy outside and this evening the fog is coming back. The snow is melting fast!
This picture was taken as I crossed the bridge over the Grand River near my house tonight. I love the mist over the river.

March 10

After several days of sunshine, it was cloudy today. The snow is really melting, but this area is quite cloudy, so the snow remains.
This is the ruins of an old barn. It's sad to see those neat old buildings falling down.

March 9

This is a picture that I took at the hospital last week. The glass in these windows is frosted and each one has wheat at the bottom and an inspirational quote or verse at the top. The pillars came from an old section of the hospital that was torn down to build this section.
*Heather is improving and is going back to work for a half day tomorrow. Her latest heart test came back normal. She has appointments with our family Dr and a specialist next week.

March 7

Heather was able to come home Friday night. This was the beautiful view we had as we left the hospital.

We haven't gotten any answers as to what went wrong, as all the tests have been negative, but she is slowly improving and will be following up with a specialist.
Thanks for the prayers. Please keep praying for improvement and for answers!

March 4

Not such a nice picture today! This was taken in the ER, where I spent much of today. My daughter was admitted to the hospital after a strange time of confusion, for no known reason. They are running tests and so far have found no problem. She is now doing better, but is in the hospital on a floor where they can monitor her heart and neurological status.
I'll be back to visit your blogs when I can. In the meantime, we would appreciate any prayers for Heather.

This statue is in front of the library in our town. It was donated in memory of a man who liked to read to his grand kids. I've always liked it, and thought it looked kind of neat in the snow.

I can't believe it's March already! We had a beautiful day today. The sun was shining and the temperature reached 42 degrees. I had to work but left work with no coat and went for a walk wearing a jacket!
This fence has seen better days, but I like following it's curving path in the snow.
