I passed this tree last week loved the way the leaves were piled up. I suspect some kids were having fun raking them into a big pile around the tree. Regardless of how they got there, they make a nice picture!

Oh how beautiful. I believe this is a silver maple tree. Gorgeous shot!!
The kids in my neighborhood like to do this with both leaves and snow and them jump right in the middle. I just let them until all the leaves fall and then my good neighbor mulches them up with his mower. The snow drifts and sledding can be a bit hard on the grass, but I enjoy seeing the kids play and am glad they feel that they are welcome in my yard. A great picture of fall.
Yes, they do... even tho I'm 62, I'd be sorely tempted to fall backwards into them! I'm your newest rss subscriber... thanks for your visit to my place! Happy Halloween!

Wow. That's one big, beautiful pile of leaves!
The leaves on the tree are beautiful, but so is that big pile around it. I could jump right in there!
Wow - that is really one big pile of leaves, and makes for a beautiful picture! (I'm just glad I'm not the one who needs to bag them). Beautiful shot!
That is a great picture, lots of pretty colors. I guess Sandy didn't come far enough to blow them away. :)
Whoa! That's a big pile. Great capture.
That tree is gorgeous. I don't think I've ever seen a pile of leaves that big! Let's hope a wind storm doesn't pass through!
That really is gorgeous! What a beautiful tree...and lovely day!
I'll bet those kids would have had fun jumping in that big pile of leaves, too!
What a great and colorful pile of leaves.
