Like much of the United States, we've had lots of cold weather and extremely cold temperatures.

  It's not fun to drive in but it provides some pretty pictures!

We were hit with an ice storm last night.  I had to work today and had quite a slippery drive in.  This tree is in the yard at the nursing home and gives a good idea how much ice was coating everything!

This is a barn I've shared a few times before.  I was surprised to see how bad the roof looks.  The last time I shared it, there was only a slight curve to the roof.  Here it is then, and here's a picture of it in 2011.  Sad to see a nice looking barn go!

Our Christmas tree is up, and hanging on it are some of the old fashioned Santa's that my husband carves.  I love seeing them every year!

I think this means it's time for the pumpkins to go and the Christmas decorations to come out!

The flowers are still hanging on to our hydrangea tree, although most everything else is gone!

Most of the leaves have fallen but there are a few pretty ones still coming down!

On one of my recent drives looking for Fall color, I came upon this scene.  The barn is gone but the silo remains.

We've got lots of yellow in the leaves around us this year.  I love the  golden hue it casts on the things around it.  Isn't the contrast of the gold and the bark pretty?
