November 27

What a morning!  For the first time in my life I decided to go out early and shop on Black Friday.  I've never seen so many people in one store.  We could hardly walk through it to get anything.  This is the line to check out.  It wound through the store all the way to the back.  We waited 1 1/4 hours to check out.  However, I got the external hard drive I came for and we only heard one woman complaining.  Everyone else was very pleasant.

You are very brave, Mari. I am glad you got your hard drive though. Now you can say what my daughter always said when she got something she wanted, "Now I can be happy!" =)

Glad your shopping day was a success! My sister always enjoyed the shopping frenzy the day after Thanksgiving, but I'm not much for shopping, and have never ventured out to experience the 'excitement'.

Seeing this long line reminds me of what my niece and her friend did last year on black Friday. They got up at 3:30 to be at Target at 4 and then had their other shopping route planned. Well, when they got their stuff at Target and got in line, it looked like your picture here. So, my niece took her stuff back to the home dept., dumped it in one of the plastic tubs (that weren't on sale), shut the lid and shoved it back under the other tubs. They went to the other stores and then came back a few hours later, retrieved their stuff and by that time the lines were pretty normal. I laughed when she told me that. Doesn't make me want to venture out on black Friday tho'!

Is black friday a special day???
To wait 1 1/4 is hard and there must be a good reason you did it!

Complaining on Black Friday? Isn't there a law against that? :)
