This is what it looks like through my front window today. We have been under a blizzard warning from 1pm yesterday and it is expected to continue until 6 am tomorrow. It's cold, snowy and windy here.
I was lucky that it was my day off today, but Bob and Heather had to go in. They both said the drive was pretty bad, and Bob isn't quick to say that. Hopefully this storm will pass us tomorrow and we can start digging out!
Beautiful picture. I would want to vacation in a scene like that. We RARELY get snow in New Orleans and when it does, the city pretty much shuts down because people don't know how to drive in a few flakes. That said, I wouldn't want to have to go out into a blizzard (any more than in a hurricane). Mother Nature is an awesome thing.
Beautiful... Any squirrels running around or are they in their warm houses too? Sorry your family had to travel out today. Hopefully you can sip on some hot chocolate.
Mari, I am just catching up now. This must be the same storm that brought us a ton of rain. It is beautiful but only when we know our loved ones are home safe and sound.
I am a Christian wife, mom to 5 and Grandma to two adorable little girls. I have 2 daughters and a son who were born to me and 2 sons who joined our family by marrying our daughters. I have been married to a wonderful Christian man for over 30 years. I work as a nurse at a long term care center, where I am blessed to get to know many older people and their families.

It looks pretty from inside the window, but I wouldn't want to be out in it! Thank the Lord for warm houses!
Pretty scene, especially since you could enjoy it from the indoors! You all take care!
oh I don't miss that one bit!!! But it's pretty to look at on your blog! :)
WOW!!! It's nice to get to stay home when the weather is bad but don't you just hate it when a loved one has to travel on that stuff.
Isn't it lovely !!!! Today it is 2 degrees out. And we live in the Midwest because....
I got cold just looking at it! But the picture is beautiful and sad at the same time.

Love to you

Beautiful but treacherous.
OH MY! i would not want to get out in that!
It is just very windy and cold here...no snow. Looks like a winter wonderland!
That's the best way to take this kind of picture...from the warmth of your home!

Lovely monochrom shot. Have a nice weekend!
I hear that. We just got buried too. It's pretty alright...but not much fun to travel in.
That looks nasty-- beautiful, but nasty.
Be safe out there.
