On a drive down a gravel road, near my house I came across an abandoned house. It's falling apart and even the scraggly tree next to it looks like it's dying.
The whole facade is faded, except that one flash of bright blue in the broken window panes. I wonder what it is?

One can't help but wonder about the lives that were lived there.
Oh, I like this...
Perhaps it's a remnant of fabric or better yet a bit of a letter where the sun and water have tuned the ink and paper into muted blues.
Stunning photo--wish those walls and esp. that blue 'something' could talk!
Now you have me curious! What is that?! Cool picture, Mari.
That's an old one...there isn't even any paint left on the house! You know, that bit of blue just makes the photo! Was it a reflection or was it inside? Very cool picture! You capture the best shots!
I thought you would provide us the answer as to that flash of blue! I would be so tempted to enter and walk around inside. I love this shot. I'm very behind with my visits, and I missed your lovely barn shot in previous post. that's really a nice barn, and I love that someone put a bench right near it too, beside that cool tree. the color of the barn is gorgeous. happy day to you Rose.
Oh... I love old windows! great shot!
interesting shot - I like!
thanks for your kind words!
the blue looks like some paper! it makes the photo nice!
Neat post...I'd be curious about the blue, too.
Mari....Are you sure you weren’t here in Rockbridge County with your trusty camera? Seriously, this window looks like it is on my rural road. I, too, love the old structures no matter how poor the condition. There are always interesting images to shoot. Your capture here is super, and that touch of blue adds just that perfect bit of color. genie
Hauntingly striking!
I'm like you and always have questions at abandoned buildings. "If the walls could talk, what would they say?" They're gone all too soon.
