September 26

This barn is a few miles from my house, and I go by it frequently without paying too much attention to it. This time I noticed it, because of the hay in it. I think they are ready for winter. It doesn't look like you could fit one more thing in it!

I'm linking up to Tricia at Bluff Area Daily for her Barn Charm. Stop over there to see lots of unique barns.

Your lucky farmers have hay for the winter. Everyone here would love to have a full barn like that because all our haybarns are pretty much empty because of the drought. Farmers are selling their herds because they can't afford to feed them. One of our neighbors just had hay brought in from Arkansas at a price of $75,000, half of which was transportation and it was only about 150 miles away! That's a lot of money to spend for a winter's feed.

Wow how they stack the round hay amazes me. It is so beautiful and I thought it's some kind of a basket and not hay ^_^

A fine barn shot. I wonder how they managed to stack those bales in so compactly - especially that top one in the center which seems to sit above the opening! Fine image.
