October 18

Here's a sign of the season. All these boats are pulled out and closed up for the summer. The water is right near them, but the sailing is done for the year.

Great photo but sadly another reminder that our summer is over... I cannot believe how fast it went. Remember, Mari, when we were so eager for spring??

However, we have more photos to look forward to right?

I do like this!!

You know winter is close whey they start pulling the boats in. Have the geese started flying south too?
Beautiful shot.

Beautiful shot, and it's truly a sign that summer is over.

I think it is time to close up here too for the winter. I have emptied some of the flower pots but there is a lot left to do. Someone said that we are to get warmer temperatures this week so maybe this will be the week to clean up from summer.

One of my husbands life dreams would have been to own a sail boat!

But the sun looks so beautiful behind the boat. I am going to choose to concentrate on that instead! :-)

A beautiful photo, but so sad yes. Now we have to batten down the hatches and get ready for winter!! :)

Great photo's the past few days, Mari.
I love going to the lake and taking pictures. Sad to see all the boats leaving the water for dry dock...but spring will be here before we know it!!
Take care

You know what, Mari. . . never mind the fact that you're taking beautiful photos for all of us to enjoy. Lay that aside for a moment. If you look at this from another perspective, and say you're only doing this for your own personal enjoyment of capturing the beauty of your own surroundings, taking a photo a day CAUSES you to look for something good and when you look for that "something good", you always find it! No matter who you are or where you are or what you're doing. The very content of your photos speaks volumes about you and who you are. And I would say that all of us who follow your photo blog have found "something good" because we looked for it!

Thank you for allowing us to have a peek at your world.
