February 20

We've just returned from a wonderful trip. Our son is in the army and just came back from Afghanistan, after being there for a year. We went to Kentucky for the homecoming event which was very moving.
As we drove around the area, I was really enjoying seeing the barns. Many barns seem to be unique to the area they are in.
This barn was very close to the army base. I loved the color and the vines growing on it. I also like the little cupolas.

For more barns, visit Tricia at Bluff Area Daily.

Lovely old barn! As we're traveled in different areas of the country we've noticed every area seems to have its own style of barns.

It's wonderful that your son is back home. The service to our country is not just his but his whole family's. We appreciate it!

I believe those little cupolas are fancy air vents.
