It's cool and windy today, but these calves don't seem to mind! They just sat and watched me as I walked by this morning. Since my walk, it's been quiet here; a little laundry, a bit of baking and reading a book. It's rare, but nice!

oh, the life of a cow!!! :)
Sounds like you had a great day.
Love the cows!!
It was cool and windy here today also. Nice photo of the cows lounging in the field.
What's happening here? I stay away for a few days and come back to everything changed. For instance, Mari, I could not post a comment to your site before this. You've elected to change your settings, now I can.
Of course, Holstein cattle and that black and white always make good photos. Nice job.
I'm trying to catch up on over 1,000 postings from others. I'll be busy for several days yet.
@Sara - I would like to post to your blog too but cannot with your set-up. Talk to Mari and see how she set up her page.
You live in the coolest area... love your pictures..
Kelly
enjoy the quiet moments!!
You are telling about your walks... how must I understand this... walking like jogging/running.... or walking like "nordic walking" with or without sticks ... or more like a stroll?
Great shot!
Have a nice Sunday!
Man what I wouldn't give to be able to lie around like that and do nothing lol. Great shot.
I like cows. What a picture of tranquility!
Why did the cow wear a bell around her neck?
Because her horn didn't work
Have a great week!
Cheryl
Neat photo, Mari! Did it rain after you passed these cows? I've always heard that when the cows lay down, it means it's going to rain.
Sorry Dot - no rain. I think that's an old wives tale.
Whenever we pass cows while driving, I always hear a chorus of "Moos" from the back seat. And I usually join in too! Why is that?
I like cows. Their eyes looks like they have a kind of knowledge that even if they could talk they would not tell us.
I hope it makes sense.
