August 17

Yesterday Bob and I went to the Frederik Meijer Garden and Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids. This is a wonderful place to visit at any time, but right now there is a special exhibit going on. Dale Chihuly, who is world renowned in the glass world has an exhibit there this summer.
We were not disappointed. Seeing all these wonderful works of art, on display in nature was wonderful!
The work above is titled "Blue Moon" and although this picture doesn't show it, it is situated on the edge of a pond and floating in the pond were numerous glass balls of many colors. It was beautiful!

WOW! That's beautiful. I bet seeing the fullness of it -- the pond and floating balls of glass must have been even more beautiful!

You have a great "eye". I really enjoy your photos Mari!

Bless you!

I am amazed at the artistry of those who work in glass! This piece is gorgeous, and I'm sure the sunlight and water made the display even more amazing!

I love glass art. Dale Chihuly resides in our neck of the woods. I hear there is a Chihuly museum up in Seattle that I want to visit one of these days.
