August 24

Have you ever seen a car being used as a flower box before?
I saw this cool old car sitting along the road side, and it seems that someone would want to fix it up, instead of using it as a planter! It must be too far gone.
It's kind of sad though. I'm sure someone really loved this car at one time.
Makes me think that I'm so glad God doesn't think we are too far gone to be saved and cleaned up!

This makes a great Ruby Tuesday post, since the car is red. I didn't post a Ruby today, had a different idea instead this time.

I could almost excuse it if the flowers looked good, but they're a bit on the straggly side! Or are they weeds? Hard to tell.

The people who live here on Camp Meeting road do things like this. When their gas grill no longer works, they plant flowers in it. They take a bed out in the yard and plant it full of flowers. It is art, kind a.

That is a ginormous planter and a cool idea! I don't know if I could get away with this...I think my city has laws against un-titled, non-running autos sitting in the yard.

I think this is very cool, I love it.
You are so right about God's grace - thank goodness he doesn't give up on us.

WOW! My initial thought was why would anyone leave a car sitting like that and use it for that purpose? I also thought as you said and I'm also so thankful the LORD doesn't look at us that way.

Then on the flip side I can see beauty in the fact that the car is still being used for something of value...there's life going on right in the midst of it...growth.

I hope I made sense :)

Thanks for sharing!

Oh my goodness, what a waste of a good car! How sad, I love your analogy and I'm also thankful that God never thinks we are too far gone to be saved and cleaned up!

I replied to your comment on my blog, but decided to copy and paste it here too, so you will be sure to see my response, so here is what I said...

Oh Mari, Photoshop is so addicting once you start learning how to use it! I was actually frustrated when I first got it because I had no idea how to use it and the book I bought, was so confusing, that I just gave up on it. Amanda, has changed all of that for me and has taught me so much and the great thing is.....now it's actually fun! Do check her out for sure! :)
