August 26

We were driving home one night last week and my husband decided to take the indirect route home. I always enjoy that - you never know what you might find! On this evening we found something good. He was driving along when I yelled "stop" because I saw this great barn being worked on. Being the good husband he is, he stopped on the side of the road so I could get a few pictures.

They've torn much of this barn away to fix it up.  It looks like it'll be almost new when they finish it.

Here's a close-up that shows a potential inhabitant.  If you look closely, on the right side of the white stack of materials you can see a chicken.

This is the beautiful house next to the barn.   I think I could live here!

August 19

I was driving to work this weekend, enjoying the beautiful sunrise and misty sky, when this farm scene caught my eye.  You can't see much of the barn, but I thought the whole scene was really pretty!

August 12

I found this old barn on a misty morning last week.  You can see the remnants of the mist hanging along the grass.  I like the simple shape of this one and also the faded gray color.

Isn't this an unusual barn?  I like all the windows, but I wonder about that door in the middle.  How do you suppose they use it?
