April 29

This is another one of those barns that I pass by frequently and never get a chance to get a picture of because it's on a busy road.  This weekend, I was able to pull over a snap a few pictures during a quiet time.
I like the weathered wood on the front of it, and that little corn crib attached to it's side.

And I love this door with the hint of red still on it.

And who wouldn't like this little old tractor?

April 26

Things are still quite wet here, but the river is going down and we can now see dry ground at this park.

April 22

I found this barn on a dirt road near me.  I like the weathered wood...

and the  pop of color in this door...

and the row of windows!

This little shed next to it is pretty cute too.

April 21

Flooding in West Michigan.
The river is usually over on the other side of these trees.  Looks like this field is now part of the river!

April 15

This little barn is about a mile from my house, so I pass it frequently.  The road in front of it doesn't have a good place to pull off, and most of the view is obstructed by trees and bushes.  I'm always admiring it in the brief glimpse I get, and wishing I could get a picture of it!  This weekend the road was surprisingly quiet allowing me to stop and get this picture.
I love the rough siding and the mismatched windows.  Did you notice the door underneath it?  I thought that was unusual.

April 11

This is a bloom that's still hanging on our hydrangea tree from last summer.  They dry up and many of them hang on through the winter until the new growth starts.  I love seeing them in any season!

Barn Charm

This farm is just down the road from my house.  It's a Michigan Centennial  farm - which means it's been in one family for 100 years.  The barn and other outbuildings are just standard buildings, but I like the way they look, clustered together, when viewed across the field.

April 1

 Happy April Fools Day!
I took this picture a few weeks ago - the snow is almost gone now.
This barn makes me think of a patchwork quilt - all the different colors on one barn. I like the shape of this one and the weathered wood on the front.
