April 29

This was taken at a beautiful park near us, where there are some great trails to walk. I love this bridge no matter what season we are in.

April 27

We've been having lot's of crazy weather here, and I know a lot of you have too. It's been raining like crazy and there were tornadoes in the next county last night. This evening, the sun is out and I wandered in the yard with my camera and enjoyed it!
Our Japanese Maple is budding. Isn't new growth beautiful?

April 25

This old barn sits on a hill, overlooking a gravel road. I don't think it's used anymore as I've not seen any activity around it for some time. I would have liked to have gotten closer to get some better shots but there are No Trespassing signs posted around it.

For more barns, visit Tricia at Bluff Area Daily.

We went to something called Plow Days on Saturday. A group of people with horses, gather and demonstrate what it used to be like to get a field ready for planting before tractors.
Some of the teams had plows with a seat, but this guy was using the old, walk behind variety.

I took this picture yesterday morning on my way to work. I love driving to work this time of year, The sky is often pink, and because it's still quite cold, it's often misty.
It makes it worth getting up early!

I love these white fences at this farm. They almost glow in the sunlight.
As I posted this, I thought this picture almost looks like it was taken in the Fall, with all the leaves still on the ground. I guess they are waiting for Spring to truly arrive before they blow away!

This is a barn I frequently drive past and for some reason I've never stopped to take a picture of it. It's somewhat unusual for West Michigan, as most barns around here are painted red.
I like the dormers and all the moss on the roof.
I'm linking up with Tricia at Bluff Area Daily for Barn Charm. Go visit her to see barns from all over!

In the language of Winnie the Pooh, today was a "blustery" day!
These grasses are blowing in the wind, as this field awaits it's Spring plowing.

We have had some beautiful evenings lately, perfect for checking out the woods near us. I like the way the trees are reflected in this little stream at sunset.

I love to drive down old dirt roads and see what I find! Often it's old barns, and you know how I like them! This is another one that doesn't appear to be in use anymore, but it's charming anyway!
For more barns, visit Tricia at Bluff Area Daily for her weekly link up named Barn Charm!

I was driving down a country road near us when I passed these cute miniature horses, enjoying a sunny day! They both appeared to think the grass was greener on the other side of the fence!

This barn is part of a farm that was started in 1866. It was run for many years as the County Poor Farm. There was a huge house where people could live, and they worked on the farm. It later was used as a place for people who were mentally challenged to live and work. In recent years, the house was taken down and the farm was not being used. The county renovated the buildings and made hiking and equestrian trails on the 228 acres of land.
I think it's a beautiful barn!
I've linked up with Barn Charm at Bluff Area Daily. Stop over there to see lots of great barns,
