January 19

I love the way the fresh snowfall gives a new appearance to everything - even old John Deere wagons!

January 17

I'm always looking for old barns to photograph. There is just something about them that appeals to me. Maybe it's because I grew up on a farm and spent lots of time playing in our barn!
This barn has certainly seen better days, but sometimes that just adds to the whole look.
This almost looks like a black and white photo, but if you look at the weeds in front you will see a touch of brown.

January 16

We stopped at our daughter and son-in-laws house to see how they were progressing on some work they were doing in their kitchen. We found they had an extra dog they were taking care of for the weekend.
They were sitting so nicely, just hoping for a treat! I think they are all pretty cute!

January 13

It keeps snowing here - not in huge quantities, but just a steady amount.
These bushes are in our back yard. I love the splash of red the berries give in all the white.

This chair sits out in the back of our yard. I like the way the snow has settled along the back of it. It's too cold to be sitting out there now!

January 8

It was so beautiful this morning. It snowed yesterday and last night, so everything had a coating. Then the sun came up with a pinkish sky - just perfect!
I was working today, so I had to take pictures from the window and door of the nursing home, making the backgrounds less attractive, however the sky and tree still look pretty!

January 6

It just keeps snowing here! I noticed these thistle heads in our back yard seem to have white hats. The thistle heads are actually quite small, but the snow on them seems to be doing a balancing act and keeps piling up!

January 4

The snow has arrived!
After a December with very little snow, we got snowed on today. I woke up to find a bunch of snow on the ground, followed by snow falling gently most of the day.
I took this picture out of a window at the Nursing Home. I love the way the snow looks on the pine trees and the grasses.

December 31

Hope you've all been enjoying yourselves over the holidays. We've enjoyed having our son home for a few weeks, so have been having some family time.
The weather has been crazy! I hear of snow falling in Georgia and Arizona. Here in Michigan, it's unseasonably warm. The temps were in the 50's today and I woke up to thunderstorms this morning. It's been raining and overcast all day. This is the view of a lake near us when I drove past it early this afternoon.
I did hear that next week we will probably go back to normal weather - some snow and colder weather is predicted.
Happy New Year to all of you!

December 24

Oliver had found a little spot he loves to crawl into and peek out from. Maybe he thinks he is a gift!

Wishing you all a blessed Christmas, celebrating the birth of Christ who is the best gift ever!
