April 4

Our daughter Heather has been working on re-doing her bedroom. New paint and new bedding was easy. She also wanted a few new pieces of furniture, but being a poor college student she doesn't have a lot of money. Dad to the rescue! My hubby is really quite a talented woodworker and has a separate building devoted to all his tools with space to build. He built her a ladder bookcase and this cute little nightstand. Heather is happy and Dad enjoyed doing it!

That is so cool, Mari. I'd love to see pics of some of his finished work. I've always it would be so nice to have that kind of talent.

Your husband is very talented, looking at the nightstand you would never know it was "homemade"!!

Fortunate for Heather because she'll have some wonderful well-crafted furniture pieces. :) Nice night stand design, and I like those ladder bookcases too.

Mari, it's probably not what you may be thinking...

The "soon to be five" is another canine we are getting on May 2. I lost a dog last August at a very young age. Ruby will be joining our family, however we're not sure how Freckles will like it....

That's very special, having things made by your dad. I know, personally, because I have things my dad has made.

I think our hubbies would get on like two peas in a pod! Working in the shop is my hubby's biggest stress reliever. I'm so glad, 'cause I have a lot of things I want him to build! LOL
