August 22

Look at this cool web I found in our yard. It was covered with early morning dew, and later in the day when it was dry, it could hardly be seen. The spider was sitting in the hole, waiting for a meal to come along.

It is that time of year when the spiders seem to work overtime. They are so creative! This is such a cool picture of their efforts.

Every fall they work all night in order to tie our van to the ground. It is so funny! I think they are ghost spiders playing tricks!

Very cool. Makes me feel like I'm in the sky, looking down a waterspout or tornado! You find the neatest things, Mari. You must be very observant!

That is so amazing! Last fall Dave and I were driving along M6 to church. The entire side of the highway was covered in webs full of dew. It was the most amazing and yucky site ever!

Oooo.....creepy! I wouldn't want to be it's next meal, that's for sure! That sure is cool looking though...I've never seen a web on the ground like that before!

I never knew spiders made webs on the ground! I wonder what kind of a spider it is?
