August 4



I think these are some of the cheeriest flowers in our flower gardens. I love looking out my kitchen window and seeing this big splash of yellow!

This is a good-looking bed of black-eyed Susans! I need to look up why they got that name. I'll bet it's a good story.

Are those black-eyed Susan's? Lovely!! I need to plant some next year. Are they annuals? Can they stand the heat?

What is your secret? Every year I plant these flowers and every year they die. What I mean is, they do not come back the second year.

I LOVE black-eyed susans (my namesake)... I planted 3 this year, and they are flowering when I didn't really expect much this first year. Next year, they should be really big and beautiful!
