January 17

I'm always looking for old barns to photograph. There is just something about them that appeals to me. Maybe it's because I grew up on a farm and spent lots of time playing in our barn!
This barn has certainly seen better days, but sometimes that just adds to the whole look.
This almost looks like a black and white photo, but if you look at the weeds in front you will see a touch of brown.

I love your old barn pictures. I have been looking for some myself.

Yes, these old barns have lots of character. This one looks old and lonely, especially in the snow.

I love old barns too and always feel sad when I see one deteriorating. But they still retain an air of beauty--of importance.
Wonderful picture.

I really enjoyed the dog picture. How anyone could say no to that boxer with the soulful eyes (in the left-hand corner) is beyond me! Actually, I'd have a hard time saying no to any of them.

I really love this picture, Mari! I like the lens you used too. Great job!

I wonder why every time I post comment, I have to sign in with Google, then it won't take my password till the second try? What am I doing wrong? I think I remember having to sign in each month, but every day?!?! Does anyone have an answer?

Mari, I noticed the brown weeds immediately. I love this black and white look and the "old" charm of the pic!

Beautiful! I didn't have a barn to play in growing up, but they still captivate me. Each one has its own special character.
