I've shared pictures of this little stream before, but never in the winter. I think it looks so pretty winding through the snow!

February 25

It was nice to see the sunshine again today, but it sure is cold!
This is the Grand River, which is just a few minutes from my house. The ice has really melted, but it's still not looking too inviting!

February 21

What a difference a few days makes! Today the sky was clear and the sun was shining. It's still cold but at least there is no snow falling. There is supposed to be more of that on Thursday and Friday.

February 20

Winter is back with a vengeance! When I went to work this morning the snow was nearly all melted. It started snowing here around 1pm and this is our street when I came home around 3:30. It's now almost 8 and it's still snowing, but it's supposed to change to freezing rain.
I'm not real excited to make the drive in to work tomorrow!

February 16

It's surprisingly warm here today. The temperature reached a little over 50 which is almost balmy! It's hard to believe that 2 weeks ago we were just starting to dig out after a blizzard. Next week it's supposed to be cold and snowy again, but for now I'll enjoy the relative warmth, watching the snow melt and the icicles drip!

February 14

My niece Halle was really busy yesterday afternoon. She loves snowmen and wanted a yard full of them. There were more of them on the other side of the driveway and another nearer the house.
The one in the top center of the picture is actually a snowman with 2 snow dogs, but it doesn't show up well from the side.
I think the little one with the ski mask and twig arms is pretty cute!

Even on a cold and snowy day, the horses like to come out and run around for awhile. I thought this one looked so pretty in the snow.

February 7

My sister and I went out to Grand Haven to see how the lighthouse and Lake Michigan were looking this winter.
It was really cold, and because of all the snow that fell last week in the blizzard, we couldn't get too close. There is a lot of ice forming over the lake and there were lots of gulls flying around. The lighthouse is fun to see in any weather!

February 3

It's been a little snowy around here! This is a gravel road near my house that isn't too fun to drive on in this weather, but it's pretty to look at!
