In "Snowbound" Whittier portrays both sides of a snowstorm. He begins it with an ominous tone that changes midway to one of wonder as the snow coats everything so it's a wonderland of imagery and imagination. (Jr. American lit just finished Whittier.)
Your picture shows the latter for we don't see the slippery gravel underneath.
Beautiful, Mari. I love the landscape after a snow fall--magical. You captured that quite well.
Beautiful scenery. At least it's all clean and white. The piles on my street are all muddy because we had two water main breaks during and between snow storms. Hope you are well, Mari!
I am a Christian wife, mom to 5 and Grandma to two adorable little girls. I have 2 daughters and a son who were born to me and 2 sons who joined our family by marrying our daughters. Funny thing is I just told Joel this morning I long to sit on the deck in the morning and drink coffee.
It looks so pretty. I enjoy seeing all of the pictures of the snow, but am happy to not see it out my own window.
wow! What a pretty snow scene
Beautiful to look at, but I certainly wouldn't want to drive on it!
That certainly is a beautiful picture, but no fun to drive on.
