March 31

"Blue skies, smiling at me, nothing but blue skies, do I see!"
Irving Berlin

It's so nice to see blue skies and sunshine again! I stopped at the Grand river today. There was hardly a cloud in the sky, and although it's still pretty cold I know Spring is coming.
However, the weathermen have had the audacity to mention that nasty s word. They are predicting a "wintry mix" for this weekend and no warmer temps until next weekend. :(

Those blue skies are a welcome sight ... and the snow can't last too much longer.

Beautiful shot Mari! Spring is finally on the way. :)

If that wintry "stuff" comes, just pretend you're floating down this river on a warm spring day!

I love the blue skies and the quote to go with them.
You've captured the ripples in the water so well.
Is it close to flooding--it looks like it. It won't take much for our near-by lake and creek to flood.
Colder temps and rain predicted here.

Not liking the S word either. We shall see. Love all your pics Mari. I too am enjoying the sunshine and blue skies smiling at me.

I know they keep speaking of spring but here in CT they're warning us of that wintry mix as well....let's keep those thoughts of spring close.

I love the composition of this photo with the foreground leading out from the side. Lovely capture...it makes me want to pack a lunch and go canoeing.

Looks like v. high water there . . .and some mud. . .so, spring must be coming. Soon. Really.

I've been on the Grand River in Ohio so, so many times. It's nice to see it without ice-- but enough with the snow already.

Have a great weekend, jj

I read some place today that Grand Rapids was voted one of the top coldest and worst cities weatherwise. It didn't get top vote because there are cities in North Dakota, of course, but I was surprised. I would think that Gaylord would have more snow and cold than Grand Rapids. I think it was some bloggers just talking.
