July 11

I found this old barn that almost looked like it was going to be swallowed up by the trees and bushes around it. I could only see this side and some of the front, the other side was completely covered.

I think these doors have their own charm with the trees edging them.

For this weeks Barn Charm, visit Tricia at Bluff Area Daily.

Your barn this week has free air conditioning just as mine does. Lots of cracks and open places...and lots of growth. Your capture is wonderful and full of interesting details. Nice work. Genie

Beautiful photos! The barn does have a lot of vegetation around it, but the roof looks to be in fairly good repair. I'm thinking there might be lots of interesting things inside.

Charming it is . . . even in its run-down condition! I like how the faded reds show up against the greenery.

I like the window at the top--a bit incongruous with the shape the main part of the barn is in. I notive the roof seems to be in good shape, so I don't understand it being deserted. It's a lovely structure even with its gaps.

What fun it would be to slip through one of those cracks and see the inside!

I notice that the lawn around the barn has been nicely mowed. I think it's a beauty and your shots show off all its nice angles and color.

The times I have been in the states I remember those barns, the Netherlands is too small for such lovely barns as this!! luckily I can catch a glimp here!

What a gorgeous find, Mari. I love the red barn & all that lush green, perfect contrast! It's a shame people let these barns go like that, but I'd rather this be the case rather than tear them down where we can't see them at all, ya know! =)

Thank you for joining

Don't you just hate seeing trees, etc take over a barn.

Hi Mari,

I am new to your blog. And have been enjoying all the beautiful pictures and captions, which I have truly enjoyed.

When I saw this barn and the rickety door it made me want to grab a good book and hide away in there to read it lol.

I look forward to visiting your blog often.
