August 28

This barn is about 10 minutes away from our house. It was a working farm until a few years ago, when the property was sold to the county.
They made this property a county park, with walking trails behind it. It's used by a lot of photographers as the barn provides lots of different backgrounds.
My daughter and son-in-law are expecting a baby in about 6 weeks, and we met there to take some maternity shots.
You can see them here if you like.

Here's a shot of the barn from the back.

Check out this cool tree. I love it's trunk.

Here's another side of the barn. The weathered boards have such character!

Oh, that is a really nice barn! Love the shape!

ok...off to see baby hump!

I love that you were able to give us different views...I always regret that so many barns I photograph I can only get basically a shot from the road.

I love the different views and how each one showed a different weathered look with varying degrees of red. Wonderful shot, Mari --- great barn.
Great shots of your son and daughter-in-law! Good-looking, happy couple. My two favorites are the one where she's standing alone and her silhouette is on the barn and then the last one with her sitting in front of him and his arms around her ---so sweet!
I bet you can't wait! Have they chosen a name yet? That's always fun! :>)

Love the shots! The barn is a real beauty and I really like the weathered patina of the wood and paint in that last shot.
How wonderful to be able to have access to such a place to stage photos. Your images of your daughter and her husband were terrific. All the best to them and their upcoming bundle!

I love the natural textures of the barn, its natural aging has a character. Beautiful!

What a perfect old barn. Thank God it was saved!

It is nice when places like these are saved.
There was a barn that was turned into a furniture shop where they made furniture from crates. I thought that both the barn and the furniture were quaint and pretty. No thanks to the phenomenon of copying the Joneses the barn did not do good and the shop moved out.

A fine 'barn charm' series of this fine looking barn. I like the varied shots you created too. Very well done.

Love the barn, but love the fact you're expecting a grandbaby. Their pictures were lovely. Hope you have a good weekend.

I totally love barns...the more weathered the better. If you decide to come out here to Oregon, I'll have a supply of barns ready for you to see. (Maybe we can even sneak in for a peek inside???)

Great barn, and still in relatively good shape. I hope that someone gets some paint on it before too long.

We have some covered bridges that now reside in a park setting. It's a nice way to have those buildings preserved.
