Last week we were in the Upper Peninsula. As we walked the beach of Lake Superior, we came upon this boat which was left, deteriorating on the shore.

Wish I were a mystery writer. I keep thinking of a story where someone left it on the beach, swam out across the shore to those woods on the other side and got caught up in some mysterious goings-on and failed to come back for the boat! Hmmm.

"Abandoned" . . . that's what comes to my mind. But the pic is beautiful; I like the wind-swept look in the grasses.
