October 24

Isn't this a beautiful barn? This is the Post Family Farm, a favorite destination for families and school groups around here. Kids come here to pick out pumpkins, see the animals and ride the pumpkin train. Adults come to eat their famous pumpkin donuts!

When they put new cement down near the donut area this summer, all the grand-kids of the owner got to put their footprints in it. There was even one cat footprint at the end!

For more barns, stop and see Tricia at Bluff Area Daily.

It is indeed beautiful! How sweet to see those feet with their names in the cement! What fun that will be for their kids when they have kids.

What a beautiful barn and a precious heritage for the grandkids. I think it's wonderful that they let the grandkids 'initial' the cement ( and the cat too). Sounds like terrific people and a great place to visit and eat donuts! :>)

Hi Mari,

how nice to footprints in the new cement to see a cat that has already done so hahahaha .......

Also nice that you told your ancestors from the Netherlands and even from Friesland. I live in West Friesland, which lie in the province of North Holland. Is so often confused with Friesland, but it is not.
And how nice that you have various Dutch place and a tulip festival. I'm on my day my blog as well and maybe I see something of that kind of events.

Kind regards Helma
