January 11

It was a beautiful day today; unseasonably warm temps for Michigan, clear skies and sunshine!
I watched my little granddaughter for a few hours this afternoon and we took the opportunity to go for a walk. Along the way I saw this bird nest. It's occupants are long gone, but it's still secure in the branches of this tree.

We have been having days like your day today but the tide has turned!
Wind chills in the teens and clouds. I think winter has arrived in KS!

Love all your photos.

For the bird, it is a warm home.

Maybe its residents will be back in the spring after their vacation in the south!

A vacant home, amongst so many vacant homes in our country.

I love this weather. But tomorrow we are going to get dumped on with snow.

It was zero here this morning .... quite a switch.

Fun to see this nest in the bare limbs.

Hi Mari, If I remember right, you are getting a big snow storm as I type this. I sure hope it goes easy on you.

That looks like the flowering plum tree right by our driveway. After it lost its leaves I noticed a birds nest in the upper branches just like that. :-)
