February 6

I found this barn while out on a Sunday afternoon drive. I love the shape of this barn, the fence and the little windmill in the front of it.

Here's a view from the side.

The windmill looks oddly out of place - or at least out of scale!

All those details along with the snow combine to make a very charming scene!

The snow adds a beautiful touch to the red barn.
I have to agree with Lesley that the windmill is rather small and would have looked better placed elsewhere.
I'm intrigued by the quilt square on the barn. It seems unfinished. :)
Lovely shots!

I like the sloping roof and the snow that surrounds the area makes the red barn stood out. ^_^

I like the shape of this red beauty as well. Nice to see some snow on the ground,,,there is no snow in our part of the Canadian prairies. Great Barn Charm find :)

This is one of the prettiest barns I've seen. I love red barns and this one looks wonderful in the snow! Love the fence in front, too. Great photos, Mari.

it is a nice 'painting' with the red and white! what a big pile of snow!

here is everything nearly gone, but they do talk about the 'elf stedentocht' --11 town tour on skates!!--

Very nice shots - I have to agree that the windmill looks a little small for that big barn, but I like it anyway!

Looking at the size of that roof, that is one big barn. I love it pictured in the snow.

That barn is nearly perfect!

Finding windmills on farms is one of my favorite things. They weren't just ornamental - - - they used the wind to pump up water.

That's a beauty :)
I like how the roof sort of disappears into the sky in the first shot.

Nice composition. Shabby white fence and pristine snow make the red barn pop The windmill adds whimsy and curiosity (as evidenced by all the remarks about it). This is what sets the scene apart. Something to question. You have a good eye.

Gorgeous photos Mari! The little windmill in the first photo looks like the 'garden ornament' windmill that we bought our Mom a few years ago. I like it.
