This is a sad barn! I think at one time it was very charming, but wrapping a place with plastic kind of deletes the charm factor. However - I'm still linking with Barn Charm. Stop over at Tricia's place to see some real charming barns!
You can almost tell that at one point it was a fine looking barn. I'm shaking my head at the plastic. I'm wondering why it just wasn't boarded up. The green mold shows the plastic has been there for awhile. :(
I wonder if they have some things stored in there that they don't want rain to get to or for folks to see is in there. I can't imagine why else they'd use the plastic coverings. The barn must hate that! (Personification is one of my favorite literary elements---love Disney films where the animals and objects come to life, so of course the barn can have feelings.)
At least they didn't use blue duct tape to secure the plastic wrap! Are they trying to keep people out or protect what's inside, hmmmm....Thanks for stopping by!
I am a Christian wife, mom to 5 and Grandma to two adorable little girls. I have 2 daughters and a son who were born to me and 2 sons who joined our family by marrying our daughters. I have been married to a wonderful Christian man for over 30 years. I work as a nurse at a long term care center, where I am blessed to get to know many older people and their families.

Awww...that is a sad-looking place.
It does look sad and those bare trees add to it...but that grren spring grass adds a little cheer to it!
It sure is a sad one but I like it anyway.
I don't think the plastic will offer much protection, but it looks like they were grasping at anything! Sad, yes, but it's still a neat picture.
hope that means they're repairing it. :)
Yes, that looks sad. Hopefully, they will work on it!
Wow Mari, seems like the tree will take over the barn ^_^
Red Barn
I always hate seeing the trees growing up at and through the foundations of barns...
Great shot. Oh, I bet this one was a beauty in its day.
Looks like they are desperately trying to hold it together.

Wow, I wonder how old that barn is? So much character despite the plastic. Nice find, Mari!
Makes you wonder why they bothered with the plastic! So sad to see these barns going...
don't think i've ever seen a wrapped barn. really needs some TLC. poor barn. (:
maybe they are preparing to fix her up!
I agree that it looks sad. It was a neat barn in its time!
oh, um not sure what to make of this. perhaps it is like one big bandaide!!
it's still a pretty barn and at least someone is trying to protect it!!
This looks almost funny! And pointless.
Oh, dear. The black plastic really does delete the charm factor, but you can still see what a beautiful and proud old barn it was.
Poor thing! The plastic looks like a big Band-Aid. It’s sad, but it’s still a charming barn in my book.
So many stories in this.
Why would they do such a thing? What purpose would that serve? Strange & yes, sad... too bad
Thanks for joining =)
Makes you wonder what the original thinking was for wrapping it... As if it would protect it for the elements?!?!

Oh my goodness- that almost looks like it was more trouble to wrap than to just leave along. Must be trying to protect some hay from the elements.
Charming, nonetheless, just with added character. At least they are trying to maintain or protect it. :)
