November 19

This is a barn in a nearby community that I pass fairly often.  I've always wanted to get a picture of it, but the road is often busy, and when all the leaves are on the trees, you can't see the barn well at all.
We don't see many barns painted this way around here.  I can't imagine how time consuming it would be to paint all those stripes!

This little corncrib sits behind the barn.  It looks like it's older and is not in very good shape, but I still like it.

For more barns, visit Tricia at Bluff Area Daily.

That is an unusual barn with the red and white stripes. I like it. I also like the little one behind it.

I wouldn't want to paint that barn, that's for sure! It sure is pretty though.

Have a warm and wonderful Thanksgiving.

Nice shots. The second one looks like a corn crib, but I've never seen one quite like it before.

I think I'd call that the peppermint barn! Those that do painting for a living probably have a quick and easy way to achieve this result.

I'm glad you got that shot of the striped barn. Very unusual paint job! I love the shape of it. And the corn crib really is neat, I love the rustic look.
Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving!

The first barn is so festive and so gorgeous. What a beauty this barn. It even has a green roof.

Very special barn. And the second is old and still very charming also. It has a character!!!

I love them both very, very much.

Great photographs and beautifully done!!

Have a nice Thanksgiving!!!

The stripes are fantastic, but I'm guessing pretty labor intensive - but then, that's probably what makes it so special! Both are really great shots!

What you say: what a job to paint it, but it is certainly worth it! Also the older looking barn is very charming!

My initial thoughts were of a candy cane ... the perfect Christmas barn.

Seeing those barns sort of relaxes a weary soul. Those leave-less tress just make the picture most mysterious and dramatic at the same time.
