Barn Charm

Don't you love finding an unexpected barn?
Last week I drove down a country road to take a picture of a barn I have often looked at from a distance.  When I turned around I saw a barn roof  hidden in the brush.  A short drive brought me to this little barn.
It's just a simple barn, but I love the way the siding looks almost variegated.  I also like wooden fencing around it.
For more barns, stop over at Bluff Area Daily.

The colors and textures give it a beautiful, rustic feel. You have so many spectacular old barns in your area.

I am so glad these barns are being photographed before it's too late. Someday they will be gone from the landscape. It's so important that we have these photos to show to the generation who may not have the real thing to observe.

Yes, you happened on a gem here, Mari. Very unusual with its green roof and that varigated siding. When first opened post thought it was a pole barn.

Great barn!
Looks like the roof is in pretty good shape, so maybe that means that someone is saving this old gem :)

Wishing you a merry and bright Christmas season.
