June 10

I found these sad remains of a barn on a gravel road the other day.  It looks like it was long but not very tall.  I can see lots of windows running near to the ground on the front of it.  I like the little 4 paned window on the side too.

For more barns, stop over and see Tricia at Bluff Area Daily.

Wow! That roof is really swaying up and down at the one end of the long building. We have some of those around here and quite a few are deserted too. Hmmmm. Makes me curious. It's a lovely setting---makes me wonder what changed that it was left on its 'lonesome' to eventually become one with nature.
Terrific find. I'm always thrilled when I come upon these unexpected finds.

Wow, that is a long barn. Must've been a sight in its day.

Nice find! Looks like before too long the whole thing will just be a pile of lumber.

i'm wondering if they used it as a chicken coop, maybe. i can't really tell by the pic, but was it tall enough for a person to stand up where the windows run down the side? pics can be deceiving sometimes... but look at all that green, green grass!
thank you muches & bunches for continuing to join Barn Charm each week, I really appreciate you.
i've been missing in action the past several months & my blog hasn't been very high on my list... i guess i needed the break tho... thanks again =)

I commented on the barn below before, but I don't remember seeing the '1906' above the sliding barn doors... I LOVE IT when they have the date on these old beauties!!! =)

Hmmm ... wonder what it housed? Most chicken coops in our area are light colors and open to allow air in. Cool find.
