June 17

I came across this abandoned barn on a gravel road, out in the country.  As you can see there are trees and plants growing up all around it, so it's hard to get a good view.
Next to it was an old house which was also abandoned.

It looks like it was a cute house in its day.  This view isn't too bad, but the sides of this house were in worse condition.
When I see places like this, I always wonder about the people who lived there, the kids who played in this yard and the work that happened in that barn.  I'm sure those people would be sad to see how it looks now.

I love that photo....all the overgrowth makes it look kind of cozy!

The house sure was cute! Love the slant of the roof and the tall chimney!

Beautiful! A place like this makes me feel like if you just look and listen hard enough you'll hear echoes from the past.

It's a beautiful old barn. I think it's still strong. And you found a very special abandoned house and it's lovely.

So green and so fresh and beautiful in these places. You took beautiful pictures!!!! I love them a lot.

I feel the same as you about old barns and building. This was once a lovely spot and the house looks like it could be a fixer upper from the front view. Nice photos Mari. Have a great day. Pamela

I love both photos. I can't explain it, but I just love the old rustic barns...even the abandoned ones. They have such charm!
