June 3

This old barn sits on a property my church purchased to put up a new building.
Unfortunately that means it will be coming down at some time.  It's not in the greatest condition though, as you will see in the other pictures.

Here's a side view of the barn.

The back is being taken over by vines.

Here's the upper loft, with plenty of daylight shining in.

This one taken through the old broken window shows the field in the back where the new building is planned.

For more barns visit Tricia at Bluff Area Daily.

I always love to see the roof from the inside!

I bet someone will want all that beautiful old wood! They could start an etsy business!

Gorgeous old barn! I always like seeing shots from the inside of an old barn, and I like the first shot with all the dandelions in front. Assuming the numbers on the barn say that it was constructed in 1906, it looks like it's held up fairly well for being over 100 years old. A real shame to have it torn down, but I would think any rehab would be an expensive proposition.

Love those boards shown in the inside photo of the roof. I too hope that someone reuses them. It's too bad it can't be made into some cool recreational or meditation building, but I realize that some barns are just too costly to repair.

Well I sure hope someone will salvage the boards. They would make some lovely paneling, flooring, or even frames.
