August 12

After several days of rain, followed by some hot, humid days, it cooled off last night. When I left the house this morning it was 59 degrees. The sun was just coming up and there were areas that had this mist hanging over the fields.
This field is right around the corner from my house. It was a beautiful way to start the day!

I'm so glad God gives us a variety of weather. It would be plenty boring, otherwise!

Pretty setting.

I love the mist like that. We have it here some in the low lying areas.

I'm going to go to bed earlier so I can get up earlier in the morning. I'm missing to much nature. HaHa

That is a beautiful way to start the day, might almost make an early-bird out of this night-owl!

It reminds me of a scene in Pride and Prejudice when Mr. Darcy is walking across the field to tell Elizabeth he loves her... beautiful

In case you haven't noticed, I've been away for a while again. I've browsed your site but time does not permit me to leave comments on all of your posts. I love them all. I feel sad for the lonely old school house as it has lost its usefulness.
I especially like the old tree; the wild flowers at the brick and the Hostas (nice colors and composition) . . . as well as your comments for all of them.
It appears your area has a lot of early morning mists. This one is great! Love the dreamy quality of it and that you anchored it with the shrub/bush.

Even though it is a pain at times, I am still holding onto my pledge not to read others comments until I have made my own. So if I have repeated something already said, so be it. :D

We had a terrible T-storm blow through on the late evening of the 5th. Got up the next a.m. and my brand new computer refused to turn on! Yikes!!! DH investigated and found the breaker tripped. My computer was fine, but there was no WiFi connection. I've been without for 6 days, only connected yesterday afternoon. Seems the T-storms we have endured over the past several weeks have kept the repair men busy. We finally made it to the top of the list. Then, today, I went to use our house phone, which we rarely use, only to find it dead. DH checked it out and discovered a connection box on the baseboard "smoked." It actually had a smoked area on the baseboard paint. So, it apparently was taken out of service that same evening. I am thankful I have a good surge protector - or else my computer would have been fried!

It is good to be back.

I'm with Connie, I need to go to be early and set my alarm early so I can see what's outside my door.

This is beautiful.
