August 16

It is hot and humid here today, probably the warmest weekend we have had all year. This is a little church I drive by frequently. It's an old country church that is very small. I like the old steeple and it's quaint look.

Even though this church is not brown in color, it, somehow, reminds me of an old hymn named, "Church In The Wildwood."

There's a church in the valley by the wildwood
No lovelier place in the dale
No spot is so dear to my childhood
As the little brown church in the dell
Chorus:
Oh, come to the church by the wildwood
Oh, come to the church in the dale
No spot is so dear to my childhood
As the little brown church in the dell

How sweet on a clear Sabbath morning
To list to the clear ringing bell
It's tones so sweetly are calling
Oh, come to the church in the dell
Chorus:

I like how you have presented just the entrance with the steeple, but let the background of the greenery and that wonderful sky show through. Good composition and color.

I like driving through woods and on hills and you can see a church steeple peeking through the trees. Nice picture.

I am finally back to blogland. I am sorry that I couldn't contact you. I felt helpless! But everything is fine now.
