Today is September 11, a day that we in the United States will never forget. I have had the events of that day on my mind today, so as I thought of what to photograph, the flag in our front yard came to mind.
Mari, we've been studying Early American History with the children, and if we could remind ourselves of how valiantly men fought to have a country like ours, we would probably "do" more to make sure our United States is preserved from its foundations and beyond. Thank you for this beautiful photo!
Nice shot even if it isn't billowing out in full fledged colors. I took one of our flag and posted it too. It doesn't get much exposure as I don't like how DH has it mounted. I would much prefer a "real" flag pole where it would be high enough to catch everyone's attention. Lovely. But then again, our flag IS lovely. :D Thanks
I am a Christian wife, mom to 5 and Grandma to two adorable little girls. I have 2 daughters and a son who were born to me and 2 sons who joined our family by marrying our daughters. I have been married to a wonderful Christian man for over 30 years. I work as a nurse at a long term care center, where I am blessed to get to know many older people and their families.
