I was out doing errands today, and passed this field that was filled with baby goats, and a few horses. It was quite a sight! This is only about an eighth of the field, but because I had to take this picture from the car, I couldn't get the whole thing. Aren't they cute?
They are definitely cute! My mom and dad used to have goats on their farm and Mom raised more than one whose mother either died in "kidbirth" or rejected them at birth (usually for a birth defect that didn't become apparent to humans until later). They are the size of big puppies when they're born. She had one named Celeste who lived in a box and slept by the fireplace at night and drank from a bottle. She grew up to be like a dog, pawing on the door to come inside! I have always loved goats! They have great personalities! We need more goats in our lives!
That is a pretty sight! I heard my parents tell about the time they raised goats. A goat ate the backseat out of their car. Now that was back in the 1940's. =)
What an awesome picture... I hope to have a few goats someday. In the meantime, there's a goat farm about 4 miles from us, and I love going by and seeing the babies playing with each other! :)
I am a Christian wife, mom to 5 and Grandma to two adorable little girls. I have 2 daughters and a son who were born to me and 2 sons who joined our family by marrying our daughters. I have been married to a wonderful Christian man for over 30 years. I work as a nurse at a long term care center, where I am blessed to get to know many older people and their families.

What a peaceful scene ... my grandfather had a pet goat that routinely got into all kinds of mischief.
Truly a peaceful scene.
