It has a soft patina to it that unites it with its surroundings. I too like the foundation---speaks of the generation who used stone well to make structures last for generations. Lovely photo.
I thought about you a lot as we were trying through upper WI and MN and really took note of all the different barns. Thought I should take a picture but the car was going way too fast.
I always wonder about the history of barns that catch my eye. This one is no different. All it needs now is a quilt square painted on it, so it can be part of the barn quilt tours. I love going on those.
OOPS...I am so sorry I missed your barn earlier. Thought I had gotten all of them. This one has a lot of personality. To me it looks like there is a little shelf running from side to side across the front but guess is it a water pipe or maybe just an optical illusion on my part. Sorry to be so late commenting. Genie
I am a Christian wife, mom to 5 and Grandma to two adorable little girls. I have 2 daughters and a son who were born to me and 2 sons who joined our family by marrying our daughters. I have been married to a wonderful Christian man for over 30 years. I work as a nurse at a long term care center, where I am blessed to get to know many older people and their families.

I think you're right...the foundation is really cool!
A wonderful old stone foundation and a soft patina of red paint - lovely capture!
This is such a soft and glowing picture.

Lovely photo.
Nice variety of texture between the stone and the wood.
Lots of charm in this one...the old wood n stone foundation.. I love the look.
I'll 2nd exactly that, especially the foundation! Very cool find for Barn Charm, Mari! Thank you so much!!! =)
I love the feel of this photo...there is a softness to it...sort of lonely.
lovely country find
If these barn walls could talk!
I can just imagine the hustle and bustle that has gone on around that barn. : )
You find the most unique barns! I love the faded red pain on this one.
This is an interesting barn. It's hard to be sure, but the barn looks older than the foundation.
Red on one side. White on one side. I am wondering if the back side is blue? There are a lot of different colors going on there.
I am amazed that the foundation looks so good.
I really like this one.

Another barn with a story....Great shot.
