March 12

I took this picture a few weeks ago after a heavy snow. I love the weathered wood, the row of windows and the fence in the front.

Here's the back of the barn. Aren't these some great looking cows?

For more barns, stop over and see Tricia at Bluff Area Daily.

This is one impressive barn....really big. Loved seeing the cows in the second shot. The REAL snow on the ground is perfect....here in our part of VA, just like with Beth, we have had a wee bit but not enough to suit me. genie

I wonder about the purpose of the small windows in the barn. Maybe just ventilation during the summer. With the white faced herefords, this becomes such a picturesque photo.

I'm sure this place is picturesque in any season, but the snow gives a wonderful contrast to the weathered gray barn. Beautiful!

I so love the one with the cows, but I like the fence leading in in the other view, too.

Good Evening Mari Sweetie...
Oh what a gorgeous share. I love this barn with the weathered wood. A beautiful setting against the pure white snow.

Grand daddy always said the cows follow the fence, and these are true to character, right by the fence. It always takes them home.

Thank you for sharing the beauty of the country. I miss that living in the city.

Have a glorious week sweetie. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Great barn and silo...I too wonder why the windows....

There are a lot of windows! Guess that's better than having to put a lot of electric lights in there! Both views are beautiful! I really love the effect with the cattle. This is obviously a hard-working barn!

Actually, I believe those are STEERS, and probably headed for someone's dinner plate.

What a GORGEOUS place to grow up into a steak!

Unless I miss my guess, that fence is an electric one - - - see all the little insulators on the metal posts?

Gorgeous photos Mari! Love the weathered wood barn with the pretty white snow all around. Great looking cattle! I wonder if they're waiting for someone to feed them? ;-)
