March 15

In honor of Saint Patrick's Day, this man came to the Nursing Home I work at, to play and sing some Irish music. He played these bagpipes and some type of old Irish flute.
It was fun to listen to and our residents really enjoyed it!

Thank you for sharing this Mari. My Mom always wanted a bagpiper at her funeral and I made sure she had one. While sad, it's a warm reminder of her.

I love bagpipe music - especially the song "Amazing Grace." I'm sure your patients loved listening to him.

I think it's so nice that some people share their time and their talent to visit our elders. If we're lucky, we'll be in the same place someday! Some people don't like to go to nursing homes because it's depressing. I think it's more depressing to think of people not having any visitors or outside stimulus such as this gentleman.

Many many thanks for including Landon in your prayers... he had to be put back on oxygen last night, but he's back off of it today, so maybe he can come home tomorrow. =)

I love anyone who goes to or works in a nursing home. What a wonderful ministry. I love bagpipes too. We had a huge Christmas musical and the bagpipers came down all the aisles playing! Oh it was heavenly and I admit I cried. I hope your residents enjoyed it as much.
