April 2

I was taking my grand daughter for a stroller ride, when I saw this barn, right in the middle of town. There is a farm house in front of it, but it's surrounded by a new development. It's been kept in great condition and I wonder what they use it for. Did you notice the sliding glass doors on the one side?

Maybe it's a studio or shop . . . it does look perfect for use.

Beautiful!! Sometimes the best shots can be where you least expect them.

Like others I was thinking it might now be a residence. Seems a little big for an apartment, though. Very pretty.

First of all, it's such a beautiful design! And I'll bet someone either lives in it....or uses it regularly as a wonderful studio of some kind. What a find!

I'm thinking maybe it is a residence. How fun to find it in the middle of town.

It's lovely! I like that big old sprawling tree too.
It could be offices for a work at home person but I so hope it's a studio of some kind.
Wish it was mine! :)

It does look like someone could live in it! Wouldn't it be great if they could re-purpose more old barns? What a great find - and in the middle of the city too!

Has it been turned into a home? The sliding door would suggest it has & look at the double doors on the left side! What a beautiful place... it would be so neat to live in a barn... remodeled for the purpose, of course! LoL!

Thanks =)

It's beautiful! I love the way the shadows play on the side of the barn from the trees.

The first thing I noticed was the 'two headed' design too. What a beautiful, intriguing barn! Great find!

It's a beauty! Do you suppose it's now a home or perhaps an artist studio? I'm your latest GFC follower, are you on Goofle +?

Google, I meant Google!

It's beautiful, however they are using it. Good to see it wasn't knocked down to provide more room for that new development.

Cute barn. It is interesting with the sliding doors and transom window on that side. An office perhaps?

I have to laugh at how close the trees are. Why do so many people do that?

Wow, that is really cool, Mari! That one end has to be used as living space of some kind. That's a great looking barn. I like the design!

yeah, i noticed the glass doors right away, maybe someone lives inside, or uses it as a studio?

it looks like a store to me, did you stop and took a closer look? if not, i hope you will do that, because now i'm curious! ;-)

Hi Mari,
What a great barn. I love the crisp white paint against the red. I'll bet they use this as an apt.

You had asked about the mock orange plant. I know they grow in VA, so you might have luck there in MI. The "real" name is Philadelphus.

Wanted to stop by to wish you many Easter blessings.

Isn't that a spectacular thing! I've come across a barn or two in the middle of a town before, and always consider how the area was once open farmland.
